Chris Slee is a swordsman, historian and franco-phone with an academic background in Renaissance thought, history, literature and languages. He has published numerous translations of French fencing treatises. and runs Long Edge Fencing in Brisbane, dedicated to 16th and 17th century French fencing.
I’m excited to have him teach this workshop weekend because he has a strong academic streak while also teaching practical fencing that everyone can benefit from. Our time periods and weapons align nicely too.
