Marozzo Cup 2023

by

The Marozzo Cup is an epic test of Historical Martial Arts prowess.

Three core tournaments are included in the battle for the Cup itself: Longsword, Sword & Buckler, & Sidesword. These tournaments will be run concurrently, swapping weapons and fencing with the same opponent.

In addition there are stand alone tournaments in: Rapier & Dagger, Spear, and Beginner/Restricted Longsword.

PLUS exciting workshops and casual sparring on Monday

BOOK HERE

How will the three core tournaments work?
Progression to eliminations in the Longsword, Sword & Buckler, and Sidesword tournaments will be based on your performance across all three weapons.
Each match will be fought as up to three sub matches, first Longsword, then Sword & Buckler, then Sidesword.

Can I compete in just one or two of Longsword, Sword & Buckler, and Singlesword?
Yes. You can compete in just one or two. However, with only two weapons it will be harder to progress to eliminations, and with just one weapon progressing to elims will be extremely difficult.

Will the results be submitted to HEMA Ratings?
Yes. Individual matches from all the tournaments except for Restricted Longsword will be submitted to HEMA Ratings.

Who can compete in the Restricted Longsword Tournament?
Anyone who hasn’t competed in a longsword tournament before, or anyone who is still in their first 12 months of HEMA.

Will there be swords to borrow?
Yes there will be loaner Longswords, Sideswords, Bucklers, Rapiers, Daggers, and Spears to borrow if needed. There will also be some limited loaner PPE – with priority going to newer fencers. If you need to borrow something we encourage you to organise it with your home club in advance.
