Greatsword Course

As we finish our course on the smallest swords ever its now time to start looking at how to use the biggest swords ever! Join us as over the next 6 weeks as we delve into the colorful world of Iberian Montante madness. This course will aim to give participants a thorough understanding of the basics of handling a Montante; the two handed sword sword of the Iberian peninsula in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Details:
The course runs for 6 consecutive Wednesday evening classes, starting on the 28th of February and concluding on the 4th of April. Classes will be held at the Melbourne Salle (12/62-64 Oakover Rd, Preston) and will start at 8:15 pm and finish at 9:30 pm, with time for sparring afterwards. Wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.

Pricing:
As always, the first class is free. Bookings are required – we need to ensure there’s equipment for everyone. If you’re already a monthly all-classes-included member, this course is included too!
Otherwise it’s $80 for students of the SHF and affiliated schools, or $145 for new students (this covers the cost of the class, as well as school membership and attendance at all SHF classes for the duration of the course).
