Join us over 5 weeks as we journey through the oldest sword & shield treatise from Europe – MS I.33, which was written in the 1320s.
The style emphasizes closing and dominating actions to remain safe and defeat the opponent. Everything is a weapon for you to use, including your opponent’s shield.
The course runs for 5 consecutive Wednesday evening classes, starting on the 24th of October and concluding on the 21st of November. Classes will be held at the Melbourne Salle (12/62-64 Oakover Rd, Preston) and will start at 8:30 pm and finish at 9:45 pm. Wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.
As always, the first class is free. Bookings are required – we need to ensure there’s equipment for everyone. If you’re already a monthly all-classes-included member, this course is included too!
Otherwise it’s $70 for students of the SHF and affiliated schools, or $145 for new students (this covers the cost of the class, as well as school membership and attendance at all SHF classes for the duration of the course).
Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, paypal or credit card. If you would like to pay via cash or bank transfer please contact us to arrange payment. If you would like to try the free class before you commit to paying – register using the same form and then skip the paypal payment window.
